About the awards
The NAPA BALTIC Packaging Design Awards aim to assess high quality and innovative product packaging design created in the Baltic Region and publicise the best examples to various professionals and to the wider public as well. The exhibition of the selected best work will be accompanied by the NAPA TALKS conference.

Helene Vetik
Creative director and graphic designer at Hmmm Creative
After 8 years and dozens of awards as an AD for Taevas Ogilvy, Helene Vetik started her design studio Hmmm Creative which is now one of the most awarded design companies in Estonia.
Helene Vetik has been awarded as The Designer of The Year 2017 by ADC Estonia and Hmmm Creative is Design Agency of The Year 2018 (Kuldmuna Awards). Helene has done jury work for ADC Estonia, ADC Europe, Kuldmuna Estonia, Baltic Best, Cannes Lions Georgia, and now NAPA Baltic. She is a fierce fighter for minorities and equal rights, animal activist and has given a TEDxTallinn speech on life as a multitasker. Helene also happens to be a famous fashion influencer. Hmmm Creative's portfolio includes the current and the previous presidents of Estonia, Black Nights Film Festival, Polhem PR international, Telia TV, Elisa Publishing, KUMU Museum, and others.

Māris Kalniņš
Global Portfolio Director at Amber Beverage Group
He is a strategist and visionary with extensive sales experience. Māris has more than 20 years of experience in B2C/B2B sales, marketing & product strategy development, brand management. He started from business development at Royal Sun Alliance Group (RSA, UK), followed by corporate sales at Statoil Fuel & Retail (Circle-K). Currently, his 100% focus is on the beverage industry. He manages the brand portfolio globally. Innovations, packaging development, brand promotions from China to the USA, or from Scandinavia to Australia is his standard daily routine - and Māris absolutely loves it!

Dan is one of the founding partners of Brand Manual, with over 25 years of design experience behind him. He regards design not as an embellishment but a means to make things work better for people. Dan is making sense of products and services like Apollo entertainment, Astri retail, Wendre bedding, and Forest Owners Association Metsaühistu. He’s also a service design trainer and speaker.

She is meticulous and precise about her work and always seeks perfection - from herself and others. She likes to dabble with new technologies and is always up to speed with the current trends.
Maija Rozenfelde

Associate Professor, Head of Functional Design department at Art Academy of Latvia
After receiving her master’s degree from Pratt Institute in New York City, Maija immersed herself in solving branding and packaging needs for various local and global brands. In 2014 Maija received RedDot Award for her innovative packaging design for pistachios, the Mighty Nuts. Currently, she is Partner and Chief of Design at studio Nord ID Riga. In her process, Maija is fascinated by the opportunity to delve into and understand the different audiences, industries, and the process of creating experiences and stories through design. Since her return back home, Maija has joined the faculty of Art Academy of Latvia, where she shares her knowledge and is in charge of developing the program in graphic and packaging design.
